Every installation is performed and signed off by a licensed Texas electrician. That is not a formality: an EV charger is one of the largest continuous loads a house will ever carry, running at capacity for hours at a time. Placement gets more attention than people expect. We plan the run for the side your charge port sits on, keep the cable off the floor where a car tire will find it, and in Valley garages we consider afternoon heat and where the unit can be mounted out of direct sun. Outdoor and carport installs get properly rated enclosures and conduit.

Before we quote, we run an NEC load calculation on your existing service. Plenty of older McAllen and Pharr homes still have 100-amp or 125-amp panels, and adding a forty- or sixty-amp continuous load to one of those is not simply a matter of finding an empty slot. Depending on the result we will recommend a straightforward circuit addition, a load-management device that shares capacity intelligently, or a service upgrade.

Do I need a permit? Yes. Every RGV city we work in requires an electrical permit and an inspection for a new 240-volt EV circuit. We pull it, meet the inspector, and hand you the closed permit.

How long does the install take? Most straightforward installs are finished in half a day. Panel upgrades or long conduit runs across a house can extend it to a full day or two.
